Long considered the world’s greatest living sculptor, Richard Serra just unveiled his newest work to the public… but it doesn’t seem likely that many will be able to see his latest installation up-close and personally. East-West/West-East, which consists of four steel monoliths, stretches nearly half a mile through the Qatari desert, located 40 miles from the Doha, the city’s capital.

Each of the four steel structures stands as tall as 16 yards, depending on the topography. The standing stones are level with one another and line up symmetrically.
