Public Groundbreaking
Greater Des Moines Public Art Foundation (GDMPAF) presents the groundbreaking for A Monumental Journey, a large-scale sculpture by internationally acclaimed artist Kerry James Marshall. This world class public art project honors the legacy of the African-American lawyers who founded the National Bar Association in Des Moines, Iowa in 1925.
