The Greater Des Moines Public Art Foundation in partnership with The City of Pleasant Hill, Iowa is searching for professional artists to submit their qualifications for a public art project. The process, guided by professional expertise and public involvement, seeks out the most imaginative and productive affinity between artist and community. Artists are encouraged from all cultural and political backgrounds who have had experience working in the public sector.
The site is in a large and highly visible space, a roundabout, in the community of Pleasant Hill, Iowa.
The Call for Artists is open to experienced professional public artists, including sculptors or other visual art professionals, qualified in the design, implementation, and management of installation costs for public art projects. Artists must be at least 18 years of age. November 15, 2018 is the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) deadline.
