Location Data
Location Access While Using this App
If you choose to grant location permission, the map feature will access your device’s location to:
- Display your current location on the map
- Center the map on your current location
Important Points
- Optional: Location permission is completely optional. This app can work with location permissions turned off, though the map will not be able to move to or show your location.
- No Storage: We do not store your location data.
- No Transmission: Your location is never sent to any other services or any third parties.
- Device Only: All location data stays on your device.
How to Control Location Access
You can control location permissions at any time through the Settings app:
- Open Settings
- Tap Privacy & Security
- Tap Location Services
- Scroll to find the Des Moines app, and tap it
- Change your setting as needed
Note: Precise Location is not required.
Camera Access
The optional augmented reality feature uses camera access to pair real time video of a work of art with augmented reality elements. No videos (or photos) are recorded, stored, or transmitted.
Important Points
- Optional: Camera permission is completely optional. This app can work without access to the device’s camera, though the augmented reality experience will not be available.
- No Storage: The app does not record or store any video or photos.
- No Transmission: Camera imagery is never sent to any other services or any third parties.
How to Control Camera Access
You can control camera permissions at any time through the Settings app:
- Open Settings
- Tap Privacy & Security
- Tap Camera
- Scroll to find the Des Moines app
- Use the switch to enable or disable camera access
Data Not Collected
The app does not collect, access, or store:
- Personal identification information
- Contact information
- Usage data or analytics
- Any other personal data
Third-Party Services
This app does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Children’s Privacy
This app does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
